Spring into Self-Care

Perhaps this season of spring is YOUR time to jump into self-care. Maybe the concept is totally new to you; or perhaps you used to be epitome of taking all the steps to love oneself, but fell off the bandwagon. Either way, it's never too late. Spring is the season of new beginnings. Here are some tips to get you started:


First and foremost, remember that self-care comes in MANY FORMS:

physical, spiritual, mental, emotional, and social


And with this, self-care can look like many different things. Some of those include:


  • Getting enough sleep and physical activity / exercise

  • Eating a well-balanced, healthy diet and drinking enough water

  • Taking a step back from situations (or people) when you feel you need to

  • Asking for help when you could use it

  • Spending time alone

  • Checking in with yourself

  • Setting boundaries

  • Saying 'no' when the time is appropriate

  • Doing things you enjoy

  • Spending time with others

  • Getting outside (and soaking up some vitamin D!)

  • Taking a break from social media


Remember: you can't pour from an empty cup.
